So, JLO! Instead of selling her engagement story to magazines Jennifer Lopez created her very own email marketing campaign by leading all new sign-ups to leave their email in order to find out her latest engagement news!
Let’s put our feelings aside for a min and analyse it as a ‘campaign’ with the exact steps and understand why it was so powerful:
🤍 Personal announcement tease
JLo team know that having an audience on Instagram is great - but you don’t want to take the risk incase it leaves one day and made sure they have access to their audience on another platform too! The announcement happened on one platform (Instagram) to direct those that are genuinely interested into another (their website!)
🤍 CTA to website to ‘sign up’
This has now created a ‘warm audience’ meaning those genuine fans who are interested are now in the ‘VIP’ list to hear all about the news, the BTS and feel even closer to their role model.
🤍 Emails for further marketing
JLo is currently running over 120+ ads on Facebook by importing her ‘email contact list’ and creating ‘lookalike’ audiences who are also interested in her news, products and services.
Genius or genius? Girl, you can do this too, let me show you.
